Choosing specialty
Im not even close to residency rn, but I've been thinking which specialty I would like to do. I always wanted neurosurgery, prestige, good money, very interesting to me, and helping people on some very hardcore situations. Buut the limited time ill have to be with my wife and children is a deal breaker for me. Ik im not in the correct career if i want time off, but I feel medicine is for me, i just dont want to jeopardize my future famlily. Ik im years away of having to make this decision but i like doing my research with time. Failed at 150, don’t know what to do right now.
Hi friends, I have been lurking on this page for months….30 mins ago, my worst nightmare had come true. I failed the NCLEX in 150 questions. I used archer and got 4 high and very high consecutively. Mark K, Dr Sharon, NCLEX crusade, bootcamp. Everything. I have so many questions. I was supposed to start my dream job on Monday and now I am sure I will have to give it up, and now I do not have a job. I have two close friends that passed in 150, without even really studying. For those that took it the second time, what did you do differently? What changed your results? And most importantly, how did you pick yourself up afterwards? Did you take a few days off or many to recover? I can’t even imagine going back into that testing room. It was simply the most traumatizing 3 hours of my life. I have no idea what happened, like I said I studied what I thought was right. I got 5 six part case studies and one bow tie, and maybe 3 regular case studies. Does failing in 150 with that many case studies mean ai was really close? I’m grateful for God, who’s always a constant in our lives, without Him we are nothing. God bless us all as we confidently walk towards him and His plans that are set out for us, no matter what happens. Pass or fail, Gods is with us. Be confident in that. I was talking to one of my friends who plays on a different server than me, (I play on NightStar, aka the most populated server out of all of them), and she plays on one of the more quiet and less populated servers. When I told her how sometimes there’s so many people in one area (typically Steve’s Farm) that my entire game gets glitchy and laggy, she didn’t believe me. When I showed her pictures I had taken from my gameplay, she couldn’t believe her eyes. I’ve seen a lot of posts in this subreddit about servers and particularly questions about how populated NightStar is. I’m hoping my post will be helpful to some who are wondering what it looks like, and fun for other players who are in NightStar to see and relate to. I'm sorta confused they look 'external', but not really since they disappear soon after on their own, so they're internal? Idkk Longer version for those who have the time to read more: Been to the doc about hemorrhoids (and stomach issues) before, first time was very early teens, was told yes you have hemoroids, no meds, no advice, bye, basically not taken seriously I'm assuming because of how young I was, put me off going back to a doc about it until I was in my 20s, took alot of willpower to go even then due to the embaressment. Had bloods and stool samples done over the years, ultra sounds, results are all normal. Nothing happened. Over the years have regularly had (atleast monthly) atleast very very light bleeding on paper I put down to having to use the toilet so much each day, when I was partying and drinking heavily during university, I'd regularly have a dull but strong pain in my bollocks that lasted for hours, caused by this. Occasionally, but very rarely I'd get a sharp shooting pain in my pelvic region. Visited the doc for the second time about hemorrhoids specifically a few days back after relatively heavy bleeding (onto paper after BM, that didn't immediately stop), and was given ProctosedylAvakin profile glitch is back😭
